Schwannomas of the Paranasal Sinuses

Schwann’s cell tumors, or schwannomas, arise from the neural sheath of several kinds of nerves. In this article by the Memphis ear nose and throat specialist Dr. Rande Lazar, a patient was treated for a malignant schwannoma through surgery, radiotherapy, and radon seed implants. After three years, the patient remains free of symptoms – showing the benefits of radiotherapy for Schwann’s cell tumors.
