The Current Management of Sinusitis in Children

Sinusitis in children can be difficult to diagnose due to the small size and contours of the sinus cavities, the nonspecific clinical manifestations and the equivocal nature of the radiologic findings. Therapy for sinusitis can vary, too, owing to the fact that so many factors go into sinusitis. New surgical procedures, conventional approaches, and anesthesia all make functional endonasal sinus surgery a great tool for certain patience with recurring sinusitis.

Hello. My son’s doctor has him as a candidate for a balloon sinuplasty procedure. He likes in part because it is less invasive and with easier recovery, which is nice for anyone but especially children.
We have another appointment for a 2nd opinion later in the week but are at least hopeful.
